Kate joined us in 2004 to help lead the small animal team. Having gained wide ranging experience in different types of practice and seen some interesting parts of the world, she rapidly attained the double distinction of being our first female partner and first holder of an RCVS Certificate in Small animal medicine. She put huge efforts into developing the new Cullompton Surgery and is solely responsible for its interesting flooring! Kate currently works part time so she can also spend time at home being Mum to her young twins.
Anneliese Tranter, who qualified in 1985 brings her wealth of experience working in both private practice and a charity clinic to our new practice in Honiton. She spends her spare time trying to keep her naughty lurcher under control, ably assisted by her bossy blind collie, and fits in cello practice and a spot of running when she can!
Sarah's grandfather was a leading figure in westcountry veterinary circles, with pioneering ideas and a superb intellect. She inherited most of his gifts but not his long arms so soon after graduating in June 2007 she joined our small animal department and set about expanding her many skills. Sarah has a special interest in behavioural problems, and their relation to general health. To relax she enjoys badminton and does awesome things on a trampoline.
Ben has been with Vale group since he qualified at Liverpool University in 2008. He was born and raised in East Devon on a farm with an award winning South Devon herd. He enjoys working as a mixed vet in companion animal practice and farm animal health, working mainly in Cullompton and Honiton Centres.
His laid back manner and winning smile combined with his committed and studious approach to his work makes him a very popular vet in the practice.
When not at work, he can be found high in the hills on his mountain bike.
